For many women, midlife arrives quietly. Children become independent (or require ongoing care), careers evolve or come to an end, and aging parents may require care. Long-held goals have either been accomplished, no longer feel important, or resurface as a deep longing. After years of caring for others and meeting life's demands, many women find themselves asking a new question:
Now what?
The Second Harvest is a 90-minute reflective workshop designed for women navigating this season of transition. Through guided meditation, storytelling, journaling, discussion, and meaningful conversation, participants will explore how to honor the lives they have built while intentionally choosing what they want to cultivate in the years ahead.
This workshop is designed for women in the second half of life, Generation X, who are experiencing significant life transitions, including:
● Empty nest or launching children into adulthood
● Career changes, retirement planning, or a desire for more meaningful work
● Feeling uncertain about what comes next after years of caregiving
● Seeking greater purpose, balance, or clarity
● Longing for deeper connection and authentic community
● Interested in personal growth, mindfulness, or self-discovery
Inspired by the symbolism of autumn, the workshop views midlife not as a season of decline, but as a season of harvest. As a time to gather the wisdom, resilience, relationships, and experiences accumulated over a lifetime. And also to release identities, expectations, and obligations that no longer serve us.
This workshop is facilitated by Wendy Arena, RN, Certified Health Coach, Personal Trainer, Yoga Instructor.
Please bring a journal and a writing utensil. Wear comfortable clothes. Props for meditation will be provided. No previous yoga or meditation experience is necessary.
