EVENT IS CANCELLED DUE TO ILLNESS :(
A Book signing event and a lesson in self love!
In 2018, Kathy Elkind and her husband decided to take a grown-up “gap year” in Europe and walk the 1,400-mile Grande Randonnée Cinq (GR5) across The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and France.
At fifty-seven, Kathy chose comfort over hardship: she and Jim got to indulge in warm beds and delicious regional food every night and croissants in the mornings. But the GR5 was not all comfort. Walking day after day for ninety-eight days brought sickness, accommodation struggles, language barriers, and storm-shrouded mountains in the Alps. As the days unfolded, however, she discovered her own wise strength, accepted her body with its imperfections, and embraced self-love.
Kathy had days and days of meditative walking to:
· transform her inner dialog through compassionate affirmations
· accept the pace that her post-menopausal body wanted to walk by listening to body wisdom.
· and then… love her post-menopause body because it powered her across a continent.
Come learn through story, writing, and self-compassion exercises how to embrace your body and discover your wise strength.
